We’re so sorry to tell you, dear reader, that Evelyn Ward does not exist. 

The real authors of this book are two best friends we’ll call M and K. Sorry for lying to you, but the anonymity makes certain things (job interviews, dating, maintaining eye contact with relatives over Thanksgiving dinner) much easier.

M is a resident of Seattle, where she lives with three cats and her spouse. She enjoys scary movies, hockey, and pretending she isn’t just three raccoons in a trench coat. She has a PhD in something scientific and boring and spends most of her days in a lab dreaming up horrors to write.

K is a resident of New York City and works in advertising. She enjoys scary movies, reading, soccer, and making men cry in bars. She is a polyglot, an appreciator of good wine, and an all-around bad bitch.
